Advances in electronics dedicated to photoacoustics applications
Photoacoustic scientific experiments are often implemented with large and sophisticated measuring equipment, whose complexity and cost are not competitive when compared with many other popular measuring techniques. Most of these photoacoustic systems are assembled from off-the-shelf devices that are already available in the lab and are also used for other experiments. It should be noticed, however, that the use of electronic equipment that is optimized for photoacoustic applications can significantly reduce its cost, size, weight, and power consumption compared to the aforementioned systems set up from general-purpose devices. Moreover, such dedicated solutions usually maintain full flexibility in adjusting measurement settings and quite often result in better characteristics. The presentation presents examples of such solutions.
