У оквиру семинара Центра за изучавање комплексних система, у четвртак, 19. марта 2026. године у 15 часова у читаоници библиотеке „Др Драган Поповић“, др Марија Јанковић (Институт за физику у Београду) одржаће предавање:
From discs of gas and dust to planets and planetesimals
САЖЕТАК:
Today we know about thousands of planets outside of Solar system. Planets form in discs of gas and dust that surround young stars. In this gas and dust it is small planetesimals that form first, and then the
planets. After a few million years, these discs disperse, and what remains are not only planets, but also rings of planetesimals which did not grow – asteroids and comets. Planetesimals and planets continue to
evolve for billions of years, due to stellar irradiation, mutual gravitational interactions and mutual collisions. In this talk we will cover numerical research of these and other phenomena that shape planetary systems, and also the most recent astrophysical observations which can be used to test our theories.
