The Centre for the Solid State Physics and New Materials has opened a new laboratory called ‘Training Centre for Advanced Structural Analysis.
The most important piece of equipment at the Training centre is the X-Ray Diffractometer (XRD), which was acquired through funding from the EU project Hidden phases in 2D quantum materials (HIP-2D-QM) within the ERA Chair Programme.
By means of this new device, researchers will be able to analyse atomic and molecular structures using methods that have not previously been available in Serbia.
The laboratory will function as a training centre in which researchers from across the region will have an opportunity to use advanced structural analysis techniques.
