In the period 8 – 10 November 2024, at Petnica Science Centre, the Diaspora Youth Forum was held which was attended by more than 60 young people from several European countries.
The Forum was organized by the cabinet of the Ministry in charge of Diaspora Affairs, and it featured numerous panel discussions and workshops.
One of the panel discussions welcomed Dr Aleksandar Bogojević, the Institute’s director, with Nikola Božić acting as a moderator. The topic of this panel discussion centred on fostering academic and scientific cooperation between the diaspora and the native country. Dr Bogojević emphasized the significant role of the diaspora in bringing global scientific advancements to interested parties in Serbia.Dr Bogojević also addressed furthering excellence in science in Serbia despite numerous challenges, so he shared examples of successful research projects.
