
The Innovation Incubator of the Institute of Physics Belgrade was launched at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Novi Sad on Wednesday, 26 June 2024.
At the beginning, the audience was welcomed by Dr Milica Pavkov Hrvojević, the PMF’s dean and Dr Aleksandar Bogojević, the director of the Institute of Physics Belgrade.


Coordinator Dragana Perović introduced the Innovation Incubator elaborating on how innovations from laboratories can bring about new technologies and products. Following this, legal advisor Dušan Nikolić highlighted the examples of successful commercialization of technologies developed at the Institute of Physics. Dr Vladimir Petrović, a research associate at the Institute, discussed the project Xalis which attracted particular attention.

This year, the Institute of Physics Belgrade has launched two internal calls for young researchers. Iva Rosić, a research assistant and a winner of the project ‘Optimization of Iron Bio-Nanoparticles Synthesis Using Bacteria’ within the Proof of Concept call, and Marina Anteljević, a research assistant and the winner of the project ‘Culturomics Approach Employed in Isolation of Extremophiles’ within the Seed call, shared their experiences and presented their projects.
