On Wednesday, May 24, 2023, students from the Department of Physics at the Faculty of Sciences in Novi Sad and astrophysics students at the Faculty of Mathematics, University of Belgrade visited the Institute of Physics Belgrade accompanied by their professors.
The Institute representatives welcomed the students in the “Dr. Dragan Popović” library, where Dr. Aleksandar Bogojević, the Institute’s director, held a lecture and introduced the guests with the work of this scientific institution, which has the status of an institute of national importance for the Republic of Serbia.
The students visited next the centers of excellence: the Center for Solid State Physics and New Materials, the Center for the Study of Complex Systems, the Center for Non-equilibrium Processes and the Photonics Center, where they learned more about the work in the laboratories and the topics that the Institute’s researchers are dealing with.
During the visit, the students visited the Innovation Center of the Institute as well, where they had the opportunity to see how science can be applied in the various products production.
