On Thursday, September 28, the Faculty of Biology, University of Belgrade, marked an interesting anniversary – 170 years of biology in Serbia. At the same time, the Day of this institution was marked. On that occasion, Dr. Ljubiša Stanisavljević, the dean of the Faculty of Biology, awarded a plaque to Dr. Aleksandar Bogojević, director of the Institute, due to the extremely close and fruitful cooperation between the two institutions.
The Faculty of Biology marked the anniversary of the beginning of biological research in Serbia with a ceremony at the National Theater in Belgrade. Following, the Faculty Day celebration was held at the Institute of Botany in the “Jevremovac” Botanical Garden.
Colleagues and friends of the Faculty of Biology gathered on the plateau in front of the Great Greenhouse, including a large number of researchers from the Institute of Physics Belgrade.
