Profesor Diana Dulić (1971-2026)

31. January 2026.

Our colleague and project partner, Professor Diana Dulić, passed away suddenly on 31 January 2026 in the Netherlands.

She completed her undergraduate studies at the Faculty of Physics, University of Belgrade, and obtained her doctorate from the University of Groningen. She went on to build an outstanding academic and research career at several prestigious European institutions before joining the University of Chile in 2013. At its Department of Physics, she held the position of professor and made significant scientific contributions in the fields of molecular electronics and two-dimensional materials, advancing interdisciplinary research in nanotechnology.

Professor Dulić was a long-standing collaborator of the Centre for Solid State Physics and New Materials at the Institute of Physics Belgrade. In recent months, within the framework of the joint project “2D Material Field Effect Transistor-Based Photodetectors” (Programme for Cooperation with the Serbian Scientific Diaspora), she made an important contribution through her expertise, particularly in improving transport measurements for the development of photodetectors based on 2D materials.

Her unexpected passing has deeply affected her family, friends, and colleagues. The Centre for Solid State Physics and New Materials expresses its sincere gratitude to Professor Dulić for her dedicated contribution to the development of the Centre and for her exceptional collaboration on joint projects.

Her work and memory will remain an enduring part of our scientific community.
