Cooperation between the Institute and scientific institutions in Florence

The Institute of Physics Belgrade strengthened cooperation with several scientific institutions in Florence, Italy. The Institute of Physics delegation, consisted of Dr. Saša Lazović, Deputy Director, Ljubica Ilić Vojnović, Chief of Staff, and Dušan Nikolić, Legal Advisor, was on a working visit to Florence from October 30 to November 3, 2023. A meetings with the directors of the University of Florence member institutions, the National Network of Nuclear Physics Institutes (INFN) and the National Research Council (CNR), were held as part of this visit.

Experiences in the ERC projects preparation and implementation were exchanged and establishing long-term cooperation in science and innovation was discussed during the meeting with Dr. Duccio Fanelli, Director of the Department of Physics and Astronomy of the University of Florence.

The meeting with Dr. Giovanni Passaleva, Director of the National Institute for Nuclear Physics in Florence, was about the application of physical methods for the analysis and protection of cultural assets.

Representatives of the Institute of Physics Belgrade and Dr. Francesco Cataliotti, National Institute of Optics (INO) Director, discussed the progress in the existing projects implementation and opportunities for expanding cooperation.

All three institutions expressed interest in formalizing cooperation with the Institute of Physics Belgrade.

The visit to Florence is a continuation of the cooperation achieved during the visit of Emiliano Chiezzi to the Institute of Physics Belgrade.
