On Science Day, celebrated on 10 July, the Center for the Promotion of Science (CPN) traditionally awarded institutions selected from their official call for projects aimed at science promotion and popularization.
Among the recipients was the Institute of Physics Belgrade, a national institute of Serbia, which received funding for their project titled ‘The Return of Science.’
Out of 181 submitted proposals for 2024, a panel of twelve members from the CPN selected 44 projects for funding, including the Institute’s project.
Thanks to this project, and within the Science through Stories initiative, the Institute of Physics Belgrade will revive the programme of popular science forums dedicated to a variety of science-inspired topics. Along with interesting interlocutors and accompanying programme, the forums attracted an unusually large number of visitors and grew into one of the city’s most notable popular science events whose organization was interrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, after several-year break, the relaunch of this programme is planned to the delight of numerous science enthusiasts.
