The promotion of the book ‘The Alchemy of the Bomb’, by Slobodan Bubnjević of the Department of Communications of the Institute of Physics Belgrade, was held at the Faculty of Sciences in Novi Sad, on Monday, 24 June 2024.
The event was graced by Dr Milica Pavkov Hrvojević, the Faculty’s dean and Professor Dr Dušan Mrđa, the head of the Department of Physics. Given the strategic partnership between the Faculty of Sciences and the Institute of Physics Belgrade, Dr Aleksandar Bogojević, the Director of the Institute, also attended.
The book’s author delved into the history of physics, discussing the atomic bomb and exploring the ethical and sociological aspects of nuclear proliferation.
A discussion with the audience followed the book presentation.
The book ‘The Alchemy of the Bomb’ was published in 2023 as an edition of Laguna Publishing House. The book has captivated readers leading to a series of promotional events being held in Belgrade and other places in Serbia.
