The goal of the project is the application of the most advanced microscopic technique on imaging erythrocytes and erythrocyte derivatives, which could potentially be used as a diagnostic tool for cancer, diabetes and inflammatory/autoimmune diseases. Along with the Institute of Physics, Belgrade, the Institute for Medical Research of the University of Belgrade and the Institute for Oncology and Radiology of Serbia participate in the project.
