On Thursday, February 8, 2024, a meeting of the Institute representatives on one side and the representatives of the business sector and the Innovation Centre of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Belgrade, on the other, was held at the Institute of Physics Belgrade. The meeting is part of the activities within the Program for the Formation and Development of Innovation Incubators in Scientific and Research Organizations, financed by the Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovation.
The meeting was attended by Bojan Lazić, entrepreneur, and Dr. Miloš Milošević, principal research fellow. Selected projects that received funding as part of the Institute of Physics’ internal call “Proof of Concept” and the Xalis project, implemented with the support of the World Bank, were presented at the meeting. The ways and forms of further development of technologies, as well as potential ways of commercialization based on the interlocutors’ long-term experience in technology transfer and entrepreneurship, were discussed at the meeting.
The innovation incubators formation and development program aims to encourage the role of scientific and research organizations as a link between the startup ecosystem and the academy. The program supports entrepreneurial teams within scientific and research organizations that plan to develop their innovations by formation of startups.
