Following a series of ‘Talks and Meze’ events, held in Barcelona, a group of researchers has started organizing this type of popular science event in Belgrade as well. One of the team members is Dr Luka Ilić of the Institute of Physics Belgrade, who is currently a researcher at the Barcelona Supercomputing Centre, where he works on the development of the Earth System Model.
Dr Ilić will give a talk at the first ‘Talks and Meze’ event in Belgrade on the topic of ‘The Magic of Minerals in the Air’ scheduled to take place on 18 August 2024.
These events are designed as intimate get-togethers where participants can dine and engage in conversations on various topics. They are envisaged as discussions and open exchange of knowledge and information among smaller groups of people consisting of experts and amateurs, and each event is moderated by a professional in the subject matter.
The events are organized in private venues by a host for a select group of people and the community is expected to grow by inviting new guests and moderators who will bring their know-how to the table.
