Medialb meetup of science journalists at the Institute

30. October 2024.

On Tuesday, 29 October, a meetup of science journalists was held at the new space of the Institute of Physics Belgrade called Tavan, marking the launch of this year’s MediaLab program.

In collaboration with partners, the Institute’s Department of Communication has been running the MediaLab school of science journalism for several years, which inspired this year’s program. As part of the programme ‘MediaLab – Challenges of Science Journalism’, the Institute will host gatherings of science journalists monthly, every last Tuesday.

The event brought together young authors, attendees of science journalism schools as well as professionals in science journalism from several domestic media outlets, including television, print, and new media. Additionally, the Institute’s partners from the Centre for Science Promotion and the Faculty of Sciences in Novi Sad participated in the session.

The gathering is one of the first events to have been organized in Tavan, the newly adapted area for interactive events, discussions and small-scale forums.
