The CERN Exhibition ‘Universe of Discovery: 70 Years of Great Experiments’ opened on Friday, 29 November 2024 at 7 p.m. at the European House in Belgrade (corner of Zmaj Jovina and Knez Mihailova Streets).
The event is hosted by the Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovations in cooperation with CERN, Centre for the Promotion of Science, Faculty of Physics and the Institute of Physics Belgrade with the support from the European House.
The CERN Exhibition, which marked 70 years of its foundation, showcases the emergence and development of the Universe, the development of research and discovery, as well as numerous innovations having been created in the largest scientific institution in Europe, including the creation of the Internet.
The Exhibition will remain open to the public until 20 December 2024 and the visitors will have an opportunity to see a part of CERN’s accelerator, find out how it works and which new findings it can facilitate.
