Prof. Dr. Jane Kondev from Martin A. Fisher School of Physics, Brandeis University in the United States of America, held a colloquium entitled “Emergence of size in living cells” on Monday, October 23, 2023, at the Institute of Physics Belgrade.
Dr. Kondev spoke about his experiments on yeast cells and theoretical work in which he seeks to discover the general principles of the size of cell organelles as an emergent phenomenon in cell biology.
