A new member of the Council of the University of Belgrade

Dr Saša Dujko, a principal research fellow of the Institute of Physics, Belgrade was elected a member of the Council of the University of Belgrade in a session of the Council of Institutes on Friday, 12 February 2021.

The decision was preceded by a proposal sent by the Institute of Physics, one of the members of the University. In November of last year, the Scientific Council of the Institute of Physics, Belgrade voted to nominate Dr Saša Dujko for a member of the Council, after which he was unanimously endorsed to be a member of this body at a recent session of the Council of Institute.

The Council of the University of Belgrade is a management body which passes the Statute and participates in various important decisions. The Council comprises 41 members, 23 being the representatives of the University. The Council of Institute elects three members of this body, and Dr Dujko is one of them.

Dr Saša Dujko works at the Gaseous Electronics Laboratory within the Institute of Physics, Belgrade. He completed his bachelor and master studies at the Faculty of Physics in Belgrade, while his doctoral studies he finished at James Cook University in Australia. He has received numerous awards and recognitions for his research work in Serbia and the world.
