Dr. Etienne Wamba

20. April 2022.

You are cordially invited to the SCL seminar of the Center for the Study of Complex Systems, which will be held on Thursday, 29 March 2018 at 14:00 in the library reading room “Dr. Dragan Popović” of the Institute of Physics Belgrade. The talk entitled

N-point functions mapping for dissipative quantum systems

will be given by Dr. Etienne Wamba (Humboldt Fellow, Department of Physics, Technical University of Kaiserslautern, Germany).

Abstract of the talk:

Motivated by recent experimental efforts for achieving and controlling dissipative quantum systems, in this talk we will consider a D-dimensional quantum gas that interacts with a bath and evolves according to a Lindblad master equation. Invoking the picture independence of expectation values and using the quantum fields that describe the gas dynamics, we will derive the Heisenberg evolution of any arbitrary N-point function of the system in the regime when the Lindblad generators feature a loss or gain. Our quantum field mapping [1] for closed quantum systems will be extended to open quantum systems by relating onto each other two different evolutions of the N-point functions of the dissipative quantum system.
