The X International School and Conference PHOTONICA 2025 takes place from 25 to 29 August 2025 at the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts.
Since 2007, organised biennially in Belgrade, this international school and conference has brought together researchers to exchange findings and ideas in the field of photonics while also encouraging young scientists to develop their skills and careers in this area. Bearing in mind that photonics is among the extremely attractive branches in modern physics, and that a multitude of research has a multidisciplinary nature, this type of conference attracts scholars from a wide range of specialisations.
Over the course of five days, numerous lectures, tutorials, poster presentations, workshops and training sessions will be organised. One of the accompanying events, ‘Light and Biological Surface Interaction for Sensing Applications’, is held as part of the COST action CA21159-PhoBioS. The workshop titled ‘Advanced Nanosystems for Photoconversion’ will also be featured within the conference, and it is organised and funded through research projects Aerosol4solar and NIMPHA of the Science Fund of the Republic of Serbia.
