(CALL TO ATTEND) The Institute of Physics Belgrade is pleased to announce a promotion of the book ‘Science and Innovations in Serbia – Knowledge as the Only Path towards the Society of Prosperity’ which is to be held on Tuesday, 9 July, in the Grand Hall of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts (SASA).
The book serves as a dialogue on science and innovations, addressing the academic community, stakeholders, industry, and the citizens of the Republic of Serbia.
The presentation programme encompasses opening remarks of representatives of the Ministry of Science, Technological Development and Innovations of the Republic of Serbia, the University of Belgrade, and the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts after which the authors will discuss their insights on the status and development of science and innovations in our country as detailed in the book.
The authors of the book are Dr Saša Lazović, Dr Vladimir M. Petrović, Dušan Nikolić, Ljubica ilić Vojnović, Dr Aleksandar Bogojević, Dr Aleksandar Belić and Dr Franci Demšar. The publisher of the book is ‘Akademska misao’ under the ‘Scientific Policy’ author edition.
The book provides an in-depth analysis of the state of science and innovations in Serbia, offering recommendations for further advancement based on the data and several years of experience of authors in academic institutions and state authorities. Readers will learn about the educational and scientific achievements and heritage in our country, as well as the current state of the scientific research ecosystems of Serbia. The comparison of qualitative and quantitive parameters, mechanisms of funding scientific and research works and economic parameters of science and research investment across various countries are provided in the book, along with examples and recommendations for further development.
