The Institute of Physics Belgrade and Heliks Publishing House published a new, representative edition of Cosmotheoros by a Dutch astronomer Christian Huygens, translated by Dr Aleksandar Bogojević ideal for enthusiasts of history and space alike.
The era between Galileo and Newton, which gave birth to this work, was marked by a new insight into nature research. Cosmotheoros is Huygens’s attempt to puzzle out what kind of beings live on other planets of the Solar System by means of scientific inquiry.

Written in a clear, incisive style, which considers more than the basic topic, Cosmotheoros is the last work of a great physician who represents a bridge between medieval knowledge and the new age scientific reasoning.
The book was translated by Dr Aleksandar Bogojević, director of the Institute of Physics Belgrade.
Cosmotheoros is enriched with extensive commentary in the form of a series of accompanying essays on Christian Huygens and his time contributed by Dr Aleksandar Bogojević, Slobodan Bubnjević, Marija Đurić and Dr Willem-Victor van Gerven.
Cosmotheoros is the first book in the series significant for the science culture published in a private-public partnership between the Institute of Physics Belgrade and Heliks Publishing House.
